DBPOA
The Discovery Bay Property Owners’ Association (DBPOA) was established
in 1973, shortly after construction of Discovery Bay began. According to the
Articles of Incorporation, the purpose of the Association is "to initiate,
sponsor, promote and carry out plans, policies and activities which will tend
to further the prosperity and development of Discovery Bay, its environs and
the property owners thereof". The Association by a vote of the membership
in changing the CC&R’s during a period from 1985 to 1987 also became
responsible to maintain property values and preserve the quality of Discovery
Bay through enforcing the CC&R’s.
The DBPOA is one of the home owner associations in Discovery
Bay and is the largest with about 1600 households as members.
The Association is governed by a seven member volunteer
Board of Directors; elected by the members, each September
to staggered two-year terms.
Meetings of the Association and its committees are open
to members, the press and the public. You are encouraged
to attend and to get involved in the Association's activities.
Meeting and time locations are announced in the Newsletter
or may be determined by calling.
